I've lost track of how many days we have had so much heat. 100 plus degrees everyday has created a lethargy in me that I find very hard to shake. It's too much effort to even think about what to cook, let alone actually getting up to make something.

I've pulled together some dishes from the TreeHugger and Planet Green archives that will help to cool you off. Some do involve cooking, but are still eaten either cold or at room temperature. In anty case, you won't be hanging around a hot kitchen. I'm doing a simple list of recipes with links because, well, it's just too hot to do any more than that.

Soups

Chilled soups are one of my favourite ways to cool down. It does take a bit of planning ahead but it is worth it.
