Maybe Aerosmith's Joe Perry should just "Let the Music Do the Talking."

The guitarist tells Outdoor Living magazine that he only shoots what he eats.

"Hunters are conservationists and their heads are in the right place. ... (Hunting) really gives you a great opportunity to keep in touch with reality," according to the article, highlighted by Ecorazzi.

The article and magazine doesn't appear to be online. Aero Force One, a fan site, has more on the interview.

Maybe Joe has a point here. Maybe he's just talking because Steven Tyler has been sick and unavailable for interviews.

Is hunting green? It has a place. Deer herds in places like Michigan need to be thinned by hunters, or people would be running into deer (more often) on the roads.

The Humane Society of the United States says there is "cruelty inherent in sport hunting."

Yet the group says it targets "the most reprehensible practices," like captive hunts and poaching.

Of course, if we're talking about hunting and music, Motor City rocker Ted Nugent deserves a mention, and a quote:

"People who think hunting is terrible can kiss my ass," he said in a 2006 interview.
