Just some of the useless doodads in my kitchen
Kelly Rossiter /DCL
There is a website called Stonesoup that I follow and the writer Jules Clancy cooks recipes in a minimalist vein. She published a two part post of setting up your minimalist kitchen, what to have, what to avoid. I found her what to avoid list fascinating, partly because I have, ahem, a number of the items she thinks should be avoided.
I do firmly believe that for a green kitchen you need remarkably few things, but most of us have things kicking around that we don't need or use. Interestingly enough, many of these things fell into the category of gifts, so it's probably something you were given that you wouldn't buy yourself. On the other hand you might find yourself cringing a bit when you read this list, as I did.
Keep reading to see her list and my take on her choices.
