Apricot Holiday Bread
Yield: Makes 1 (1-1/2-pound) loaf (12 to 16 servings)
Ingredients:
2/3
cup milk
1
egg
2
tablespoons butter, softened
1
teaspoon salt
3
cups all-purpose flour
1/2
cup pecan or walnut pieces
1/2
cup dried apricots or peaches, chopped
2
tablespoons sugar
1/4
teaspoon ground ginger
1/4
teaspoon ground nutmeg
1
tablespoon active dry yeast
Preparation:
1.
Measuring carefully, place all ingredients in bread machine pan in order specified by owner's manual.
2.
Program basic or white cycle and desired crust setting; press start. (Do not use delay cycle.) Remove baked bread from pan; cool on wire rack.
