Yield: Makes 6 (1/4-cup) servings
Celebrate the freshness of spring year round with this creamy, smooth fruit dip. Brimming with the sweet tartness of just-picked strawberries, this dip is sure to be a keeper.
Ingredients:

ounces fresh or thawed frozen unsweetened strawberries

4
ounces fat-free cream cheese, softened

1/4
cup reduced-fat sour cream

1
tablespoon sugar

Orange peel (optional)

Fresh fruit, such as apples, strawberries, pineapple and oranges



Preparation:
1.
Place strawberries in food processor or blender container; process until smooth.

Beat cream cheese in small bowl until smooth. Stir in sour cream, strawberry purée and sugar; cover. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Spoon dip into small serving bowl. Garnish with orange peel. Serve with assorted fresh fruit.


Cook's Tip: For a super quick fruit spread for toasted mini English muffins or bagels, beat 1 package (8 ounces) softened nonfat cream cheese in small bowl until fluffy. Stir in 3 to 4 tablespoons strawberry spreadable fruit. Season to taste with 1 to 2 teaspoons sugar, if desired. Makes 6 servings.
