Get Blitzed at Home With Sloshspot's 13 Alcoholic Beverages That You Can Make Yourself

For those of us that fancy an adult beverage from time to time, finding local brews, wines, and spirits is as much a part of a local diet as hitting the farmers' market. But thanks to Sloshspot's List of 13 Alcoholic Beverages That You Can Make at Home, your choices just expanded significantly.

While some of the drinks didn't really interest me i.e. moonshine and pulque, some of the ideas were pretty fabulous like hard apple cider, gin, mead, chocolate liquor, and sambuca. After all people were getting "sloshed" long before there were huge manufacturing plants to make the booze for them.

One of my favorite beverages that you can make at home is Irish Cream. As the weather gets a bit cooler maybe you want to add a bit of kick to your coffee. Drink it fast though because without preservatives it only lasts for 30 days.

Homemade Irish Cream

14 oz sweetened and condensed milk

1 cup local heavy cream

2 local eggs

1 tsp organic cocoa powder

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp espresso

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp almond extract

12 oz Irish Whiskey

Method:

1. Turn the blender on and mix it up until its all nice and uniform.

2. Add 12 oz Irish Whiskey.

3. Recap the blender, mix it up some more, and you're all done.
