INGREDIENTS
| Nonstick cooking spray | |
| 1/2 | cup chopped onion |
| 6 | ounces 99% lean ground turkey |
| 6 | cups nonfat, low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth |
| 1 | teaspoon salt-free poultry seasoning |
| 3 | tablespoons all-purpose flour |
| 1/2 | cup water |
PREPARATION:
- Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and place over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir 1 minute. Add turkey; cook and stir until turkey is crumbly, dry and very browned, about 12 to 15 minutes. Do not let burn.
- Scrape browned turkey mixture into a large saucepan. Mix in chicken broth and poultry seasoning. Simmer 30 minutes over medium heat. Strain and discard cooked turkey.
- Mix flour and cold water until smooth; stir into saucepan with broth. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until gravy is reduced to 4 cups, about 30 to 45 minutes.
