January is hot tea month! While you sit down to your next cup (fair trade, please?), try taking the PossibiliTEAS quiz on Facebook, and Celestial Seasonings will help Conservation International protect forest areas around the world.
Celestial Seasonings is donating a dollar for every participant in its PossibiliTEAS campaign to CI's "Protect an Acre" program.
They'll max out at $50,000, so they need some active quiz-takers. The quiz is really just a personality test that aligns you with one of nine symbolic characters (I, apparently, am most like the Horse—I show enduring strength and unrivaled perseverance). It's super quick, so if you take just a minute to take the quiz and then share it with, say, 14 friends, you'll save one acre. If you need extra encouragement, Harrison Ford is on board and invites you to join in the conservation efforts.
The more, the better—every four hours, an area the size of Manhattan disappears, according to Conservation International. That's bad for the air, for our health, for forest ecosystems and the animals that live in those forests. Animals like the adorable rhesus macaques (the particular mother-baby pair pictured above is in Nepal) need—and deserve—our help.
