INGREDIENTS
| 1 | Granny Smith or Jonathan apple, peeled |
| 1/4 | teaspoon cherry-flavored gelatin |
| 2 | tablespoons cherry cola |
| 2 | tablespoons thawed frozen nondairy whipped topping |
| 2 | mini chocolate chips |
PREPARATION:
- Slice apple crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick rings. Sprinkle gelatin in microwavable pie plate. Dip apple rings in gelatin to coat and place in single layer in pie plate. Pour cola around rings.
- Cover loosely with waxed paper. Microwave on HIGH 1 minute or until liquid is boiling. Allow to stand, covered, 5 minutes. Arrange rings on dessert plate. Pipe on whipped topping ghost and add chocolate chip eyes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Note
To cook 2 apples at a time, increase cooking time to 2-1/2 minutes. For 3 apples at a time, cook 4 minutes.
