As my regular readers know, I am always advocating increasing your consumption of fruits and vegetables. The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center has created a new Web site that makes finding recipes easy by allowing you to search by ingredient.

Not only that, you can register your food preferences, as well as dietary needs such as dairy-free and vegan, so only those recipes which pertain to you will come up on the site. "Whether you're looking for options packed with protein to help ward off the side effects of cancer treatment or just hoping to introduce more fruits and vegetables into your diet, the Web site will help you find what you're looking for," says Joan Daniels, a dietitian at the centre.

The recipes have been developed by Graham Kerr, famous for his television show "The Galloping Gourmet." There are also audio and video clips of Mr. Kerr preparing the dishes. Here's a great way to try new vegetables and see how to use them.

The site is entirely free so check it out and try some new vegetable recipes. ::Newswise
