Cheddar Pastry
INGREDIENTS
| 1‑1/2 | cups all-purpose flour |
| 1/3 | cup (1-1/2 ounces) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese |
| 1/4 | teaspoon salt |
| 1/2 | cup cold butter or margarine |
| 3 | to 4 tablespoons ice water |
PREPARATION:
- Combine flour, cheese and salt in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing just until mixture forms dough; wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate 1 hour.
