Makes about 3/4 pound
|1||cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips|
|1/4||cup sweetened condensed milk|
|1/4||teaspoon almond extract|
|1/2||cup quartered maraschino cherries, drained|
|1||cup coarsely chopped pecans|
- Melt chips in heavy, small saucepan over very low heat, stirring constantly. Stir in condensed milk and almond extract. Remove from heat.
- Stir in cherries. Refrigerate until mixture can be shaped into logs, about 15 minutes.
- Shape into 2 (1-1/2-inch) logs. Roll logs in pecans. Refrigerate until firm.
- Cut into 1/2-inch slices. Store in refrigerator.
