|8||ounces uncooked pasta|
|1||can (15 ounces) chunky Italian-style tomato sauce|
|1||cup sliced onion|
|1||cup sliced mushrooms|
|1||cup chopped green bell pepper|
|Nonstick cooking spray|
|4||boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)|
|Salt and black pepper|
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
- While pasta is cooking, combine tomato sauce, onion, mushrooms and bell pepper in microwavable dish. Cover loosely with plastic wrap or waxed paper; microwave on HIGH 6 to 8 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time.
- Meanwhile, coat large skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat. Cook chicken breasts 3 to 4 minutes per side or until lightly browned.
- Add sauce mixture to skillet; season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to medium; simmer 12 to 15 minutes. Serve over pasta.
