Chicken Sausage Pilaf
Yield: Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
1
pound chicken or turkey sausage, casing removed
1
cup uncooked rice and pasta mix
4
cups chicken broth
2
stalks celery, diced
1/4
cup slivered almonds
Salt and black pepper
Preparation:

Brown sausage in large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring to break up meat. Drain fat. Add rice and pasta mix to skillet. Cook and stir 1 minute.

Place mixture in slow cooker. Add broth, celery, almonds, salt and pepper to slow cooker; mix well.
3.
Cover; cook on LOW 7 to 10 hours or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours or until rice is tender.
