Cookie Bars are the perfect treat for parties and big events because they have all the variety of cakes without the mess of big slices. Cookie Bars make entertaining easier.

Chocolate-Granola Bars
by the Editors of Easy Home Cooking Magazine

Yield: Makes 32 bars
Ingredients:
3
cups raisin-and-nut granola

1/2
cup finely chopped dried apricots

1/2
cup finely chopped dates

12
ounces white chocolate, coarsely chopped

1/4
cup half-and-half or evaporated milk



Preparation:
1.
Butter 8-inch square pan. Combine granola, apricots and dates in medium heat-proof bowl; set aside.

2.
Melt white chocolate with half-and-half in heavy, small pan over low heat, stirring constantly.

3.
Pour chocolate mixture over granola mixture and stir until coated. Press into prepared pan. Refrigerate until firm.

4.
Cut into 2X1-inch bars. Store in refrigerator.
