Chocolate Macadamia Chippers

YIELD Makes 2 dozen cookies

INGREDIENTS

1 package (18 ounces) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
Powdered sugar (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Let dough stand at room temperature about 15 minutes.
  2. Combine dough and cocoa in large bowl; beat until well blended. (Dough may be kneaded lightly, if desired.) Stir in nuts. Drop by heaping tablespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  3. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until almost set. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Dust lightly with powdered sugar, if desired.
