Chunky Sweet Spiced Apple Butter
Makes 2 cups
|4||cups (about 1-1/4 pounds) peeled, chopped Granny Smith apples|
|3/4||cup packed dark brown sugar|
|2||tablespoons balsamic vinegar|
|1/4||cup (1/2 stick) butter, divided|
|1||tablespoon ground cinnamon|
|1/4||teaspoon ground cloves|
- Combine apples, brown sugar, vinegar, 2 tablespoons butter, cinnamon, salt and cloves in 1-1/2-quart slow cooker. Cover; cook on LOW 8 hours.
- Stir in remaining 2 tablespoons butter and vanilla. Cool completely.
Serve with roasted meats or spread on toast.
