As the weather warms up we start to think about ways to stay cool without cranking up the AC. You can keep do simple things like open your windows to create a cross breeze, or more complicated like installing a cool roof . But in the dog days of summer our pets get hot too. Here's a way to keep your canine companions cool on the hottest days, plus give them a challenging treat to chew on. You can make these frozen dog treats at home.
Recipe for Frozen Organic Dog Treats
32 ounces of plain organic yogurt
2 tablespoons all-natural peanut butter
2 tablespoons Honey
1/3 cup water
1 banana
Add any other dog-approved fruit you have on hand
Method
1.Mix ingredients in blender
2.Top with dog biscuits or crumbs (optional)

You can play around with the recipe until you find the perfect blend for you pooch. (Fellow PlanetGreen-er Nancy Wilson says she's even seen a popsicle-like version that uses a dog treat as the stick!)
These treats will not only be tasty and cool, but they'll provide a stimulating challenge as well.
