Cranberry Pear Sauce
YIELD Makes 8 to 10 servings

INGREDIENTS
| 1 | package (12 ounces) fresh or frozen cranberries |
| 1 | cup packed light brown sugar |
| 1/2 | cup white grape juice or apple cider |
| 1/4 | teaspoon ground allspice |
| 1 | large ripe pear, peeled, diced |
PREPARATION:
- Combine cranberries, brown sugar, grape juice and allspice in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently. Stir in pear; cook 3 minutes if pear is not ripe, 1 minute if pear is ripe. Remove from heat; cool completely. Cover; chill at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours before serving.
