INGREDIENTS

2 frozen bananas
6 Medjool dates
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups milk
Cinnamon to taste
(ripe to over-ripe)(optional)(I prefer almond, but you could also use soy, cashew, or cow's milk)

PREPARATION:

Method

  1. Break each banana into four pieces and freeze them. Having them broken into pieces makes for easier blending.
  2. Add bananas to a blender.
  3. Chop the dates coarsely and add to the blender with vanilla extract.
  4. Pour in 1 cup of milk. Blend for a moment and slowly pour in the remaining 1/2 cup of milk to get your smoothie to the right consistency.
  5. Finish off with cinnamon, adding it while the blender is still on.

And if you want to get creative, simply add cut up fresh or frozen berries or fruit along with your bananas. Improvise and be fearless. You'll get the hang of it quickly. There's simply no wrong way to make a smoothie.
