Makes 2 servings
|1||whole wheat pita bread|
|2||ounces Brie or other soft cheese|
|2||ounces sliced smoked turkey|
|1||medium tomato, thinly sliced|
|1/4||teaspoon dried basil|
|Shredded lettuce or alfalfa sprouts (optional)|
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut pita around edge to make 2 flat pieces.
- Spread inside of each pita half with Brie. Top with turkey, tomato and basil.
- Place pita halves on baking sheet. Bake about 5 minutes or until cheese melts and topping is hot. Serve warm topped with shredded lettuce, if desired.
