Deviled Burgers

There's no need to eliminate hamburgers from your diet in order to eat healthy. With lean meat and sensible serving sizes, beef is an excellent source of protein, B vitamins and iron. These tasty burgers are packed with extra flavor–they have all the usual trimmings added to the meat before cooking.

Makes 6 servings

2 slices bread, finely chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons creamy horseradish
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 pound 95% lean ground beef

  2. Shape mixture into 6 (3-inch) burgers. Place burgers on ungreased jelly-roll pan.
  3. Broil burgers 4 inches from heat source 4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Serve on hamburger buns.
