Yield: Makes 1 tree
This attractive centerpiece is as good to look at as it is to eat. And the assembly couldn't be easier! Let the kids help out.
Ingredients:
48
to 50 mini (about 2-inch diameter) powdered sugar doughnuts

1/4
recipe Cookie Glaze (recipe follows)

Mint leaves

Red cinnamon candies

1
(10-inch-tall) foam cone

About 50 wooden toothpicks

Preparation:
1.
Cover cone with foil. Starting at bottom of cone, attach doughnuts to cone with toothpicks. Continue with remaining doughnuts and toothpicks to cover cone completely.

2.
Spread small amount of Cookie Glaze onto each mint leaf; arrange on tree. Repeat with cinnamon candies. Remove toothpicks before eating doughnuts.

Cookie Glaze: Combine 4 cups powdered sugar and 4 tablespoons milk in a small bowl. Stir; add 1 to 2 tablespoons more milk as needed to make a medium-thick, pourable glaze.
