I'm not from Boston, but if I were, I'd be heading on down the Sustainable Living Expo at the Hynes Convention Center. The whole shebang gets underway on Friday April, 3 with "Local Bites" a shindig that gathers local chefs, food producers, green restaurateurs and sustainable wine, all as a way to celebrate Boston's magnificent food culture. Tickets for the Local Bites are only twenty bucks and they are good for the entire weekend. A portion of the proceeds will go to support local fisheries.

On Saturday, April 4 there will be a foraging seminar, lead by Russ Cohen, a mozzarella making demonstration with Lourdes Fiore Smith and Rodney "the Answer Man" North will be giving a talk about fair trade and small farms.

On Sunday, Gabriel Erde-Cohen of the Green City Growers will teach you how to grow your own food. And at one o'clock in the afternoon, there will be a food panel composed of sustainable food experts.

Planet Green and Treehugger's Editor Meaghan O?Neil will also be at this event, documenting participants with photographs and video to find out how and why they've gone green. Participants are encouraged to bring a small object that symbolizes their commitment to living the green life. The videos and photos will be published on Treehugger as a photo gallery/post.

So get yourself a ticket, have a glass of organic wine and come have a jolly old time. If you love green, food and green food, this is the event for you.

Tickets are ten dollars. Weekend passes are twenty dollars. Students and seniors get discounts, Kids under twelve get in free.
