If you've made changes for the greener in most areas of your life, but still go to a conventional dentist, this one's for you. GreenBiz reports that the Eco Dentistry Association has launched a new certification program, complete with a three-tiered bronze, silver, and gold level.
If you're fortunate enough to live in Dallas or Chicago you can go to the first two gold-level offices: Pure Dental and ORA Dental Studio.
The certification program measures practices in criteria: Sustainable location (near public transit? green building?); waste reduction; pollution prevention; energy conservation; water conservation; patient care, workplace policies & community collaboration; leadership; and, innovation.
The only ones you can omit and still participate in the program are sustainable location, leadership, and innovation. Seems sort of odd to me that the sustainable location one can be opted-out of, but that's just me.
