Emeril's Caprese Salad
YIELD 6 servings
INGREDIENTS
| 3 large | heirloom or beefsteak tomatoes, sliced |
| 1/2 pound | fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced |
| 1 cup | basil leaves |
| 3 tablespoons | extra virgin olive oil |
| Salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
PREPARATION:
- Layer the slices of tomato, cheese and basil on a platter, making sure to lightly salt and pepper each layer. Repeat until all the tomatoes are layered and then drizzle with olive oil. Serve immediately.
