YIELD 24 servings

16 large garlic cloves
1 cup olive oil
1 cup unsalted butter, melted (4 tablespoons)
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
4 French baguette, halved and cut into 3 to 4-inch lengths

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mince the garlic in a food processor, wiping down the sides with a spatula, if necessary. Add the olive oil, butter, parsley, salt and pepper and process until well-combined.
  3. Spread the bread pieces onto a sheet pan. Using a basting brush, generously pat each piece of bread with a liberal amount of the garlic-butter. Transfer to the oven and cook until lightly golden brown, 15 minutes.
