Emeril's Green Beans With Pork And Garlic

YIELD 4 servings

INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
6 ounces ground pork
1 pound Chinese long beans, stem ends trimmed, cut into 3-inch lengths
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon ginger
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
½ cup chicken stock
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

PREPARATION:

Method

  1. In a large saute pan or skillet, heat the oil over high heat. Add the pork and stirring constantly, cook until brown, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the beans and stir fry about 2 minutes. Add the garlic, ginger, sesame oil, soy sauce, and chicken stock. Cover and steam beans for 10 minutes.
  2. Remove lid and add hoisin sauce. Stir to coat, and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Remove from the heat and serve immediately.
