Emeril's Spiced Ribs
YIELD 4 servings
INGREDIENTS
| 1/4 cup | Chinese Five Spice |
| 3 pounds | baby back ribs, divided into 3 slabs |
| 1/2 cup | brown sugar |
PREPARATION:
- Sprinkle ribs on both sides with Chinese Five Spice. In a baking dish, let ribs marinate for at least one hour and up to 24 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 275°F.
- Remove the ribs from the baking dish and sprinkle with brown sugar. Place three 14-inch squares of heavy duty aluminum foil on a work surface. Stack the ribs evenly, fold foil over the top of the ribs and crimp the edges. Tightly seal the packet. Place the rib packet on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 2 hours or until very tender. Remove and set aside to cool briefly before cutting into individual ribs and serving.
