Planet Green's Supper Club is a show about 2 of everyone's favorite things: food and (green) conversation. We've gathered up some of our favorite recipes from the world's best chefs, all featured on episodes of Supper Club. These show stopping recipes will have everyone talking (and asking for the recipe). Make them as written or draw inspiration from the bold and inventive flavor combinations. In no particular order, our favorite Supper Club Recipes are:
It's really 5 dishes in one. Make each component together for a truly special entree or make them separately for side dishes and a great go-to Asian-inspired fish. The bright citrus, earthy mushrooms, healthful veggies and subtly flavored fish combine to make a sophisticated and delicious dish.
Neal Fraser Yogurt Panna Cotta with Cucumber Mint Soda
This dish couldn't be easier or a more delicious conclusion to any meal. If you've never had/made panna cotta, you've got to try this recipe right away. Creamy but light with just enough gelatin to give it some stability, this is one of our favorite, simple panna cotta recipes complemented simply and smartly with soda and cucumber.
Grilled Polenta and Vegetable Stacks with Tomato-Saffron Coulis
A beautiful marriage of the flavors of Italy and Spain, this kind of deconstructed, reimagined lasagna is a bit time consuming to make but quite easy at the same time. A perfect appetizer, entree or side dish depending on how large you make the portions, this is another recipe perfect for playing around with, for making all of it or just the polenta, just the tomato-saffron coulis (great on roasted veggies!) and so on.
Red-Wine Spaghetti with Broccoli Rabe
Simple. Delicious. A little different. The depth of flavor of the red wine and broccoli rabe combine perfectly to form this grown-up pasta. Balanced by the addition of a little sugar, pepper flake and Parmesan cheese, this is a great affordable dinner party option that will still impress everyone that tries it.
Planked Salmon with Basil-Chive Butter
Like many of Michael Chiarello's recipes, this is a straight-forward but delicious go-to meal. With just a few quality ingredients (hint: salmon, basil, chive and butter comprise most of them) and a fun method (planking) you've got a flavorful dish everyone in the family, even kids, will love.
Sturgeon Confit with Smoked Tomatoes & Olive Leek Compote
Like a clever twist on classic smoked fish and bagels, this tender sturgeon with smoked tomatoes, olives and leeks is full of big flavors. Perfect for a Sunday brunch, the leftovers will keep for several days and continue to develop flavors as they sit.
Caramelized Onion, Tomato & Goat Cheese Tart
These delicious and easy-to-prepare savory tarts are a serious crowd-pleaser. Great as h'ors douevre or paired with a green salad as a light meal any time of day, what's not to love?: carmelized onion, tomato and goat cheese.
If you or someone in your family is vegetarian, it's at least plausabile that you're/they're burnt out on tofu. A great source of protein for vegetarians, vegans and meat-eaters too, recipes like this one can add a much-needed zip, zap, pizzaz, novelty to tired tofu dishes. Healthy and delicious, try this recipe now.
