INGREDIENTS
| 1 | package (18 ounces) refrigerated cookie dough, any flavor |
| Prepared icings, red licorice bites, black string licorice, gumdrops, mini chocolate chips and assorted candies | |
PREPARATION:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 2 large cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Remove dough from wrapper. Using about 1/4 of dough, roll into 12X3-inch strip. Trim to 11X2-1/4 inches; set aside. Roll remaining dough into 10X8-inch rectangle. Trim to 9X7-3/4 inches; place on 1 prepared cookie sheet. Place reserved dough strip at top of rectangle to make fireplace mantel. Roll remaining scraps and cut into stocking shapes. Place on remaining prepared cookie sheet.
- Bake 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 5 minutes. Remove stocking cookies to wire rack. Slide large cookie and parchment paper onto wire rack; cool completely.
- Decorate with icings and candies as shown, attaching stockings to fireplace cookie with icing.
