INGREDIENTS

2 cups apple juice
3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1‑1/2 cups white basmati or Texmati rice
2 thin slices fresh ginger
1 piece cinnamon stick (2 inches long)

PREPARATION:

  1. Bring juice, water and salt to a boil in medium saucepan. Add remaining ingredients; reduce heat to low. Cover; simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Remove ginger and cinnamon stick; discard.
