Fresh Fruit with Honeyed Mascarpone

YIELD 4-6 servings

INGREDIENTS

1 cup mascarpone
2 tablespoons dark honey, plus extra
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2‑3 tablespoons whipping cream
4‑5 cups approximately of ripe seasonal fruit -- one or many -- suggestions: sliced figs, sliced persimmon, sliced pear, sliced apricot, sliced plum, sliced peach
1/4 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts

PREPARATION:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the mascarpone, honey, vanilla. Stir in cream to desired consistency.
  2. Plate fruit, garnish with dollops of cream, fine drizzle honey, chopped nuts.
