Fresh Homemade Salsa

|2||cloves garlic, pressed or minced|
|3||green onions, chopped|
|1/2 - 1||jalapeño, seeds removed, chopped (or more-some recipes call for as many as 5 jalapeños)|
|4||large fresh ripe tomatoes, chopped (6 Roma tomatoes can be used if you prefer less juice)|
|1/2||bunch fresh cilantro, chopped|
|1/4||cup fresh lime juice|
|Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste|
|1||fresh bell pepper-any color, chopped (optional)|
- In a shallow baking dish, add tomato slices and scallions, chopped into 1 ½ inch pieces, and chopped jalapenos.
- Place under a low broiler for 15-20 minutes.
- Put in a food processor and chop until you get the consistency you want.
