Fresh Homemade Salsa

INGREDIENTS
| 2 | cloves garlic, pressed or minced |
| 3 | green onions, chopped |
| 1/2 ‑ 1 | jalapeño, seeds removed, chopped (or more-some recipes call for as many as 5 jalapeños) |
| 4 | large fresh ripe tomatoes, chopped (6 Roma tomatoes can be used if you prefer less juice) |
| 1/2 | bunch fresh cilantro, chopped |
| 1/4 | cup fresh lime juice |
| Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste | |
| 1 | fresh bell pepper-any color, chopped (optional) |
| Tortilla chips | |
PREPARATION:
- In a shallow baking dish, add tomato slices and scallions, chopped into 1 ½ inch pieces, and chopped jalapenos.
- Place under a low broiler for 15-20 minutes.
- Put in a food processor and chop until you get the consistency you want.
