German Chocolate Muffins

Yield: Makes 12 jumbo muffins
Ingredients:
German Chocolate Topping (recipe follows)

package (18.25 ounces) German chocolate cake mix with pudding in the mix, plus ingredients to prepare mix



Preparation:
1.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease 12 (3-1/2-inch) large muffin cups; set aside. Prepare German Chocolate Topping; set aside.

Prepare cake mix according to package directions, reducing water by 1/4 cup. Spoon into prepared muffin cups, filling half full. Sprinkle German Chocolate Topping evenly over batter.

3.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpicks inserted into centers come out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 5 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool on wire rack 10 minutes. Serve warm or cool completely.


German Chocolate Topping: Combine 3 tablespoons each chopped pecans, flaked coconut and packed brown sugar in small bowl until well blended.
