Ginger Tea

Recipe from Allison Fishman


1 hand ginger, sliced 1/4-inch thick (about 2 cups)
4 cups water
2/3 cup sugar


  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a boil, and simmer gently, stirring, until sugar has dissolved and the ginger flavor is pronounced, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Strain; serve hot or cold.
