Green Salad with Pears and Pecans

INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
1/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream
3/4 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon finely minced onion
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
1 bag (10 ounces) mixed salad greens
2 ripe pears, cored and thinly sliced
1 cup (4 ounces) finely shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 cup pecans, toasted
Pomegranate seeds (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, oil, onion, pepper and salt in small bowl. Blend well and set aside.
  2. Arrange greens evenly on four plates. Place pear slices around edges of plates. Sprinkle cheese and pecans over greens. Drizzle dressing evenly over salads. Garnish with pomegranate seeds, if desired.
