Ham Swiss Cheese Biscuits

Yield: Makes about 18 biscuits
Ingredients:
2
cups all-purpose flour
2
teaspoons baking powder
1/2
teaspoon baking soda
1/2
cup (1 stick) butter, chilled and cut into pieces
1/2
cup (2 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese
2
ounces ham, minced
About 2/3 cup buttermilk
Preparation:

Preheat oven to 450°F. Grease baking sheet.

Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda into medium bowl. Using pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese, ham and enough buttermilk to make soft dough.
3.
Turn out dough onto lightly floured surface; knead lightly. Roll out dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut biscuit rounds with 2-inch cutter. Place on greased baking sheet.
4.
Bake about 10 minutes or until browned.
