INGREDIENTS
| 2 | teaspoons cornstarch |
| 1/4 | teaspoon salt (optional) |
| 1/4 | teaspoon grated orange peel |
| Dash black pepper | |
| Dash ground allspice | |
| 1 | can (16 ounces) sliced beets, drained and 1/3 cup liquid reserved |
| 2 | tablespoons cider vinegar |
| 1 | tablespoon orange juice |
PREPARATION:
Microwave Directions
- Combine cornstarch, salt, if desired, orange peel, pepper and allspice in 1-quart microwavable casserole. Stir in reserved 1/3 cup beet liquid, vinegar and orange juice.
- Microwave on HIGH 1-3/4 to 2-1/2 minutes or until thickened, stirring after each minute. Add beets. Microwave on HIGH 2 to 4 minutes or until beets are thoroughly heated. Garnish as desired.
