Herbed Mushroom Pizza

Makes 4 servings


2 tablespoons olive oil
8 ounces sliced button or wild mushrooms, such as portobello or shiitake
1-1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup pizza or marinara sauce
1 bread-style pizza crust (12 inches)
1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese


  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add mushrooms and garlic; cook 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in basil, thyme, salt and pepper.
  2. Spread pizza sauce evenly over crust. Top with mushroom mixture; sprinkle with cheese. Bake directly on oven rack 8 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted. Slide cookie sheet under pizza to remove from oven.
