Makes 1-1/2 cups sauce
|3/4||cup pecan halves|
|2||tablespoons butter or margarine|
|1||teaspoon all-purpose flour|
|1/3||cup whipping cream|
- Preheat oven to 300°F. Spread pecans in shallow pan. Bake 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Blend in honey, flour and salt. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let cool 10 minutes. Stir in cream until smooth. Stir in pecans.
Serve over ice cream or as a topping for baked apples, poached pears or peaches.
