Hot Mulled Cider

INGREDIENTS
| 1/2 | gallon apple cider |
| 1/2 | cup packed light brown sugar |
| 1‑1/2 | teaspoons balsamic or cider vinegar |
| 1 | teaspoon vanilla |
| 1 | cinnamon stick |
| 6 | whole cloves |
| 1/2 | cup applejack or bourbon (optional) |
PREPARATION:
- Combine all ingredients except applejack in large saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in applejack, if desired. Pour into punch bowl.
