Whether you're trying to avoid GMO soy lecithin in your granola bars, artificial colors and flavors in your fruit rolls, or ridiculous amounts of salt in your potato chips, there's a lot to be said for making your own snack foods. You know exactly what went into them, there won't be any unpronounceable ingredients, and, because you're starting with quality ingredients, the food will taste about a million times better than any manufactured food ever could.
While very few of these snacks could be classified as "health" foods, they're definitely better for you than the store-bought versions. No artificial colors and flavors, no weird thickeners, no fake food here -- real food!
