Maple Frosting

Yield

Makes about 1-1/2 cups

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter, softened
2 tablespoons maple or pancake syrup
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar

Preparation

  1. Beat butter and syrup in medium bowl until blended. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until smooth.

Tip

To make gumdrop hat, roll out large gumdrop on generously sugared surface. Cut 1 rounded piece to look like top of hat and 1 straight piece to look like brim of hat as shown in photo. Overlap pieces to make hat; pipe decorator gel over seam for hat band.
