Marbled Peanut Butter Brownies
Yield: Makes about 2 dozen brownies
Swirls of peanut butter and chocolate form an unbeatable flavor combination.
Ingredients:
1/2
cup (1 stick) butter, softened

1/4
cup peanut butter

1
cup packed light brown sugar

1/2
cup granulated sugar

3
eggs

1
teaspoon vanilla

2
cups all-purpose flour

2
teaspoons baking powder

1/8
teaspoon salt

1
cup chocolate syrup

1/2
cup coarsely chopped salted mixed nuts



 
Preparation:
1.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 13X9-inch baking pan. Beat butter and peanut butter in large bowl until blended; stir in sugars. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until well blended. Blend in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in small bowl. Stir into butter mixture. Spread half of batter evenly in prepared pan. Spread syrup over top. Spoon remaining batter over syrup. Swirl with knife or spatula to create marbled effect. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into 2-inch squares.
