Mark Zuckerberg has vowed to not eat meat unless he kills it himself.

I've gained even more respect for Facebook cofounder Mark Zuckerberg after his latest endeavor. It's not preachy, it's not hypocritical, it's just real. Zuckerberg said that this year as a part of his new healthy diet regimen, he won't eat any meat that he didn't kill himself.
His first kill, a lobster, which he killed by boiling to death, was a reminder that meat shouldn't be taken for granted. In reality, Zuckerberg will be eating a mostly vegetarian diet and meat will be eaten only for special occasions.
According to MNN:
"I started thinking about this last year when I had a pig roast at my house," he wrote. "A bunch of people told me that even though they loved eating pork, they really didn't want to think about the fact that the pig used to be alive. That just seemed irresponsible to me. I don't have an issue with anything people choose to eat, but I do think they should take responsibility and be thankful for what they eat rather than trying to ignore where it came from."
He's taken time to meet local sustainable farmers outside of Silicon Valley and he's learned about the actual slaughtering process of the chicken, pig and goat, according to Fortune. The larger animals that he kills for meat are sent to a butcher to be harvested.
"This year I've basically become a vegetarian since the only meat I'm eating is from animals I've killed myself," Fortunequoted Zuckerberg as saying in an email.
