Have you ever hear of a 'Lazy Cake.'
Sara Novak/DCL
Last week I was in a gas station on my way to the beach and next to the cashier, displayed in colorful packaging was a product called Lazy Cakes. The wrapper, in all its cartoon glory, reminded me of something between a Smurf and a Peace Frog in its portrayal of a super laid back brownie on the cover. I'm not sure whether the target market was a bohemian teenager or a Care Bears lovin' infant. But either way, it's become a point of contention in the community of Fall River outside of Boston.
Fall River Mayor William Flanagan wants the cakes removed from shelves. According to CBS Boston, "this brownie with an extra ingredient is leaving a sour taste in some people's mouths."
