Ingredients:
1/4
cup plus 2 tablespoons butter
1/4
cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1
teaspoon salt
2
cups milk, warmed
1/4
cup plus 2 tablespoons grated Romano cheese
Dash ground nutmeg
Preparation:
1.
Melt butter in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and salt; stir to blend. Add milk; stir to blend. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly.

Reduce heat to low; simmer uncovered, 1 to 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
3.
Remove from heat. Stir in cheese and nutmeg.
