Everybody gets headaches from time to time. There is no escaping this. Most headaches occur because of stress, but plenty of headaches are caused by environmental factors. Believe it or not, a green lifestyle can help your reduce the amount of headaches you get.

1. Coffee

Coffee can cause headaches. It's technically the caffeine. So add soda pop and energy drinks to this list as well. There is much debate over the greenness of coffee. It's often grown in places like South America and Ethiopia. It has to be shipped. Sometimes coffee growers use pesticides or unfair labor practices. That's not very green. There are things you can do to green your coffee drinking, but why not just quit drinking it? After you go through a short withdrawal period, you'll never have to deal with day-to-day coffee headaches.

2. Dim the Lights

You don't need bright lights on all day. Any hardcore greenster will use minimal lighting. Minimal lighting will reduce the amount of hardcore headaches that you'll have to suffer through.

3. Indoor Air Quality

A green lifestyle is often a clean-and-tidy lifestyle. Make sure that you have quality indoor air by vacuuming the floors, getting rid of furniture with particle board in it, using eco-friendly cleansers, low/no voc paints and glues, you'll save yourself more than a few headaches.

4. Eating Organic Foods

Many of the foods that cause headaches are the least green foods. Fast food, preservatives, red meats and fats all aggravate headaches. Organic foods, however, are much less likely to cause a headache.
