Seeds aren't just for planting!

Seeds can be grown, they can be stored, they can even be bombed--but fortunately, some seeds can be eaten. Edible seeds have plenty of nutritional value. For example, the high levels of healthy oils found in seeds can possibly help reduce cholesterol, improve brain and nerve function, promote healthy skin and hormone levels, and increase energy levels. Hey, when you consider how a tiny seed can transform itself into a giant tree, it seems kinda logical that you'd want to include that kind of life force in your diet. "Think of the fierce energy concentrated in an acorn," said George Bernard Shaw. "You bury it in the ground, and it explodes into an oak. Bury a sheep, and nothing happens but decay."
